PRP President to tour Rayalaseema from Sunday

November 15, 2008

After the successful completion of the Praja Rajyam Party president's tour in North Andhra and Telangana regions, it is now the turn of Rayalaseema as Chiranjeevi is embarking on a tour to Rayalaseema region from Sunday onwards. It may be recalled Chiranjeevi made his party formation announcement at the Tirupati public meeting which happens to fall in the Rayalaseema region.

According to party sources, Chiranjeevi, as part of the Rayalaseema lap of the Ankita Yatra would be covering only two of the four districts in the region beginning with Hindupur in Anantapur district and ending it at Railway Kodur in Kadapa district on November 21.

Sources says that he would cover 19 constituencies, travel 600 km and address gatherings as many as 80 places. The tour is evoking interest among the political watchers of Chiranjeevi will be touring the TDP strong hold of Anantapur and Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy's native Kadapa districts.

The native town of Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Pulivendula did not figure in the original tour programme of Chiranjeevi but the Praja Rajyam Party leaders have included it following the Chief Minister's attack on them. Party insiders are of the view that Chiranjeevi's focus would be on the unending factionalism and perennial drought in the region and might come up some solutions to the two major problems haunting Rayalaseema.
