The Praja Rajyam Party president, Chiranjeevi demanded the State Government to give Rs. 3,000 as farmer compensation to the groundnut farmers who had a crop damage due to poor quality of the seeds. He made this demand at Kalluru village while on the Praja Ankita Yatra third phase that covering the Rayalaseema region. He toured groundnut crop rich areas of Garladinne, Pamidi, Kalluru, Rayalacheruvu, Yadiki, Bhogasamudram and Tadipatri. He alleged the government's failure of crop in the region.

Chiranjeevi said that groundnut is being cultivated in nearly 18 lakh acres in the district and expressed his anguish over the woes of groundnut farmers and said that they were unable to get even 2 quintals of crop yield from one acre where they are supposed to get at least 10 quintals. The market price of the crop produce is also meagre.

While addressing the gatherings at Garladinne, Chiranjeevi expressed shock over the death of two people at Dharmavaram in his road show. He conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased. The party has earlier announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 1 lakh each to the family of the deceased. Chiranjeevi showed a sense of improvement and maturity in his speech when addressing the ground nut farmers this time contrary to Raghuveera Reddy's comments that Chiranjeevi lacks agriculture knowledge.
