Chiranjeevi thanks and praises YSR for developing native town Pulivendula

The Praja Rajyam Party President, Chiranjeevi notwithstanding the prevailing tension in the wake of violence incident in regard to hanging party banners in the town on Tuesday night was able to drew huge crowds, especially from among youth and women to his road show in Pulivendula. Pulivendula is the the constituency of leader of the ruling Congress party and the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Chiranjeevi is touring the region as part of this third phase of Praja Ankita Yatra that cover the four Rayalaseema districts which include Anantapur and Kadapa that are historically found to be of political significance.

Chiranjeevi reached nearly five hours behind the schedule as his vehicle tyre got punctured. Apart from this, the tour route was also had a last minute change because of information that Congress party supporters are planning to obstruct his convey near Balapanur, the native village of Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy. In his speech, Chiranjeevi surprised his detractors in the Congress by showering praise on the Chief Minister for the development of Pulivendula. He promised to develop the entire State if voted to power. He made an indirect reference to the manner in which Praja Rajyam leaders were chased away on Tuesday when he said the State have Special Economic Zones and not special political zones reserved for the entry of only some leaders.

Chiranjeevi thanked the Chief Minister for saying that everyone was welcome to enter public life and commented that he is grateful to him for inviting him into politics, obviously taking jibe at him for creating hurdles in his yatra. Before leaving the place, he expressed his gratitude to the people for their love for him and said though he is leaving the place, his heart will remain in Pulivendula.

Chief Minister Rajasekhara Reddy who is not giving any quick comment on PRP, has recently, termed Chiranjeevi is a political novice for which the later has hit back saying he stepped into politics for all-round development of the state.
