Praja Ankitha Yatra Phase II schedule partly finalized

October 21, 2008

The Praja Rajyam Party is able to partly complete the exercise of finalizing the second phase of Chiranjeevi's 'Praja Ankitha Yatra' schedule that will cover the Telangana region. According to the sources, Chiranjeevi will tour Warangal and Karimnagar between October 30 to November 5 as against the original proposal of completing the visit before Diwali on October 28, 2008.

The party has been grappling with the details for the last one week and made the first official announcement only on Tuesday when party spokesman Parakala Prabhakar said at a press conference. However, he had not divulged any details about the tour programme. He would not even say if the tour starts from either Warangal or Karimnagar.

Party sources stated that the Praja Rajam party president Chiranjeevi would cover Nalgonda and Khammam in the last week one after the other taking two days each with a break in between, when he would return to Hyderabad. This programme was revised when the party president asked the core committee members to chalk out a routine plan to cover Warangal and Karimnagar.

Chiranjeevi undertook the Andhra Pradesh tour to speak to the people of the state and try to catch their views on various issues. The road show began in October 2008 covering Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram and Visakhapatnam districts after which Chiranjeevi had to come back to Hyderabad after his health did not permit him. The party representatives said that the tour is not cancelled but is given a break and that the party president will tour Telangana region as a part of the second phase. Chiranjeevi was so unhappy at the delay in finalizing of his tour schedule that he left the party meeting adruptly on Monday, soon after which the party leaders have began working on the scheduling process in a swift manner.
