Praja Rajyam Party president predicts clean sweep in north coastal Andhra

The Praja Rajyam Party president, Chiranjeevi speaking at a press conference on Friday that his party would get nearly 75 to 80 Assembly seats and about 8 to 10 Lok Sabha seats in the first phase of polling held on Thursday. He reiterated again that the party would sweep the polls in North Coastal Andhra.

Stating that the party did well in Telangana also and said it would remain committed to what it had incorporated in its manifesto with regard to the demand for separate State. Reacting on the controversial remarks of the Chief Minister, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, he said it was nothing but opportunism on the part of such politicians to try to take advantage of the situation.

Chiranjeevi rejected the argument that the triangle contest in the State would throw up a hung Assembly after the elections. He asserted that there is a clear wind for our change slogan. He refused to specify as to how many seats his party would bag in the first phase of the elections. The PRP president said despite the fact that the TDP was promising to bring in the five day week work schedule for government employees, they were favoring the PRP in this election.
