Praja Rajyam Party president to contest from two places

February 21, 2009
Kurnool

The Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi hinted the formation of a fourth front at the national level under the stewardship of leaders like Lalu Prasad and Shard Pawar. One should think beyond UPA, NDA and the third front at the national level, he said.

Speaking to media persons on Saturday, he wondered why the Praja Rajyam was being questioned about a possible alliance with the BJP in spite of denials it had issued about a possible trunk with the NDA He said he suspected that it was aimed at trapping the new party in a controversy. He said he would institute an inquiry by a sitting judge into the murky deals of Congress and TDP governments if it came to power.

He said he proposed to contest from two places but expressed surprise over criticism that fear of losing had prompted this decision. He explained that his only intention was to give representation to people of two regions. He stated that he would give due representation to weaker sections especially the backward classes by giving seats in proportion to their population. He desired to field senior journalists in two or three places if they came forward.
