The Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi is understood to have said that the party official spokesman Dr. P Mitra will contest from Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district in the forth coming elections. The announcement was made at a district committee meeting held at Adisankara College of Engineering and Technology at Gudur in the district on Monday. According to party sources, the party president said that Mitra will be given ticket from Nellore district as he belonged to communist leader Puchalapalli Sundariah's family and was a native of Nellore.

He did not given any indications whether he will contest for Parliamentary or Assembly segment and from which constituency he will contest in the district. With the announcement, the leaders who shifted from TDP and Congress party to Praja Rajyam and are expecting tickets were depressed over the announcement of party decision.

The party president who announced to offer a ticket to T Munemma in the next general elections was seen hurriedly to have a glimpse of the party president in the public meetings. Munemma, who belonged to Yandi Community in the district was a daily wage labourer in Vakadu mandal in the district. The party president was impressed with her speech at Mahila Varadhi meeting held at Hyderabad last year where Chiranjeevi directed the party leaders to go into the public, inquire about the problems and take steps for strengthening the party.
