Hyderabad

Speaking to media persons, the Praja Rajyam Party president, K Chiranjeevi expressed confidence that the party will ride home with a thumping majority after filing his nomination papers from Palakole in West Godavari district in his maiden attempt to enter Assembly.

He declared that the first file he would sign after the people made him Chief Minister would be the one giving monthly groceries at Rs.100 for the poor. He lashed out at TDP president Chandrababu Naidu saying that the TDP had done nothing for the poor in its nine year rule especially in improving the lot of the poor and the downtrodden. People are in no position to believe him.

He claimed that there is a silent revolution in favour of the party. He denied reports that senior party leader K Vidyadhar Rao was quitting and described him as one of the party's main pillars. He simply narrated to the media persons that Vidyadhar Rao told him that he had no plans to quit Praja Rajyam Party.
