Chiranjeevi begins his second day tour in Guntur from Narasaraopet

PRP Chief K Chiranjeevi began his second day tour in Guntur from Narasaraopet. Speaking to the media, Chiranjeevi demanded the Government to provide a compensation of minimum of Rs. 10,000 per hectare. He said that the farmers are under severe depression after the rains and the relief announced by the government is not sufficient to meet their expenses.

He criticized that the Government failed in providing financial assistance and moral support need to the farmers. Speaking about the suicides of the farmers, Chiranjeevi said that those who committed suicide are mainly Koulu Ryots. He asked the government to relax rules and norms at the moment on the farmers. Chiranjeevi also sought a separate package for commercial crops.

Chiranjeevi also opined that a counseling program to the farmers is necessary to stop the farmer suicides in the state. Speaking on the issue of withdrawing the cases against students, Chiranjeevi thanked the Government for the same. On the Sri Krishna Committee report, Chiranjeevi expressed confidence that the report will be in favor to a United Andhra Pradesh.
