Even as the Central and Andhra Pradesh governments showed more interest in the return of peace and normalcy to the State, representatives of 8 political parties expressed divergent views on Tuesday's all party meeting held for formation of separate Telanagana. PRP president, K Chiranjeevi highlighted the view in some sections that naxalites have infiltrated the pro-Telanagana movement and what is being witnessed in Jarkhand and Chattisgarh will be seen if a separate State is formed by dividing Andhra Pradesh.

While, Congress representative from Telanagana N Uttam Kumar Reddy said Left wing extremists were now being kept under check in Telanagana. The BJP opposed Chiranjeevi's suggestion for formation of a committee to go into the issue. CPI State secretary K Narayana said that a majority representatives favored separate Telanagana, while the CPI, BJP and the TRS fully supported the creation of Telanagana reason, the CPI (M) and PRP opposed division of the State. The MIM did not express its views. It wanted President's rule to be imposed to maintain law and order while Narayana claimed.

It is reported that the Chief Minster, K Rosaiah who was present at the meeting did not make any comment except calling for peace and normalcy and seeking the cooperation of all parties. TDP's Revuri Prakash Reddy handed over a letter to the Home Minister stating that the party never changed its stand on Telanagana. Congress representative from Andhra did not support Telanagana but he said he would abide by the Congress High Command's decision. K Chandrasekhara Rao and State BJP president Bandaru Dattatreya demanded the Centre to take immediate steps for the formation of Telangana State.
