Chiranjeevi admits minor differences exists between PRP and Congress

Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) Chief and now a Congress leader, K Chiranjeevi, speaking with a major media outlet admitted that there are small thin differences between his legislators and the Congress exists despite the formal process of the merger is complete and that this is merely a psychological barrier. He feels that the party merger meeting that will be organized shortly will put an end to all such differences.

Chiranjeevi said that the party merger meeting is planned on a grand scale and that he has invited AICC President Sonia Gandhi. He said that the time and place for the merger meet is yet to be decided.

Speaking on his role as a politician, he said that he will work as per the wishes of the people and at what level they want him to see. Saying that there are no conditions for his party merging with the Congress, he said that the Congress party wants him to play a national-level role and not be confined to the state affairs. Chiranjeevi appeared to be close with both APCC President Botcha Satyanarayana and State-affairs incharge Ghulam Nabi Azad.

Chiranjeevi escaped a direct reply when asked about the number of his legislators who will get ministerial berths, he expressed confidence that the Congress party will give them due recognition. It may be recalled that there was opposition expressed when PRP MLA C Ramachandraiah's name came out that the might be inducted into Kiran Kumar's cabinet.

Speaking about the Telangana statehood, he said that it is a sensitive topic and that he will abide by the party high command's decision. On YSR Party, he said it will not be a threat to the Congress party but said that people will decide the fate of political parties depending on the performance and commitment.
