Arrangements for Uttarandhra Congress Garjana complete

September 24, 2011

All arrangements for the biggest show for both Congress and the Praja Rajyam Parties in recent times, the 'Uttarandhra Congress Garjana' are completed. The public meeting that is to be held on the shore of the RK Beach in Visakhapatnam will celebrate the merger of Praja Rajyam Party with the Congress.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Botcha Satyanarayana and Praja Rajyam Party founder and Tirupati MLA K Chiranjeevi will attend the public meeting. Several Ministers from the State Government are also expected to attend the meeting. The organizers are also hoping that this show will put the differences between Congress and PRP workers at grassroots level to rest.

Visakhapatnam Commissioner of Police J Poornachandra Rao reviewed the security arrangements at the venue. Heavy police forces are being deployed at key spots to make sure there aren't any security breaches.

Tourism Minister Vatti Vasant Kumar, Minister for Tribal Welfare P Balaraju, Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao, MLAs Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Dronamraju Srinivas, T Vijay Kumar, Panchakarla Ramesh Babu and Chintalapudi Venkataramaiah visited the venue to make sure the arrangements are going smooth. They are not leaving anything to chance as the Congress leadership wants to make the meet a big success. The arrangements for the meeting was not a cakewalk for the Congress party as some people have protested against the permission given to hold the meeting on the beach. Environmentalists say holding a meeting on the beach is violation of the coastal regulation zone (CRZ) rules.
