News and Information about Praja Rajyam Party
Advises Chiranjeevi to go alone in fighting next elections
Hyderabad, September 7, 2008
Amidst vehement denials by the Samajwadi Party and Praja Rajyam leaders, sources say that the leaders of the both the parties did have a little talk about politics in their 55 minute meeting. The General Secretary of Samajwadi Party Amar Singh told Chiranjeevi that politics was not a bed of roses and his party MP Jaya Bachan wanted him to go all alone in fighting the next elections. At a press conference later, he said that the meeting with Chiranjeevi and the high level Samajwadi Party delegation led by Amar Singh and comprising party MPs Jaya Bachan and Jayaprada was described as a good will visit to congratulate the former on his political entry.
Speaking to media persons, Parakala Prabhakar and Dr. Mitra denied any hidden agenda. There was no political discussion during the interaction. Others present at the meeting included the actor's brother in law Allu Aravind, the two spokesmen and leaders Tammineni Seetaram, K Vidyadhar Rao, Ch Harirama Jogaiah, Yelamanchali Sivaji and KSR Murty.
News is in the air all last week or so that Samajwadi Party will support Praja Rajyam. The Party spokesman Parakala Prabhakar however said that the party is not keen in forming alliances at the moment but is focusing on building its organizational structures instead.
