Police officials says he is likely to be released on bail

Anakapalle, Visakhapatnam, April 15, 2009

The Praja Rajyam Party nominee for Anakapalli Assembly constituency Ganta Srinivasa Rao and nine others were arrested by the Anakapalli police on Wednesday for allegedly violating the model code of conduct.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao and nine other had gone in three cars allegedly without permission and met the voters at Narsaingaballi village said the Deputy Superintendent of Police of Anakapalli Ramana. He said that the accused would be released on bail.

It may be recalled that Allu Aravind is himself standing as the Lok Sabha candidate from Anakapalli. Senior politician Konathala Ramakrishna was fielded as strong candidate to face Allu Aravind in the constituency.
