Visakhapatnam, March 30, 2009

The Minister for Commercial Taxes Konathala Ramakrishna filed another set of nomination papers for Anakapalli Assembly constituency on Monday. The plan of the Congress to make him contest for the Parliamentary constituency was only media creation. Strong rumors made rounds that the Congress would replace Sabbam Hari as it needed a strong local candidate to face Praja Rajyam's Allu Aravind in the Lok Sabha contest and also because the party contestants for Assembly segments under Lok Sabha seat felt for a change in candidate.

Sources said that the Congress party wanted to shift Sabbam Hari to a city segment if Konathala was willing to contest Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, Konathala Ramakrishna said that he would contest only for the Assembly seat and Sabbam Hari be in fray for the Lok Sabha.

He was accompanied by a large number of party workers, leaders and supporters went to Anakapalli Tahsildar's office and filed his nomination papers along with B Form.
