News and Information about Praja Rajyam Party
To begin post poll analysis
Hyderabad, April 27, 2009
The Praja Rajyam Party president, K Chiranjeevi has called for a meeting of the party's Political Affairs Committee on Tuesday as a part of post poll analysis. The exercise will begin by analyzing district wise reports prepared over the past four days by convenors with the inputs from the leaders from lower down and from contesting candidates.
At its first poll meeting, the 14 member Political Affairs Committee is expected to take stock of the situation in the presence of the party president. It will also consider the different views thrown up at the meeting and notwithstanding the official policy of the party not to talk anything except about forming the government entirely or on its own also discuss the alternatives in case of a hung Assembly.
The party high command continued to keep its political strategy a closely guarded secret, fueling speculation whether the Praja Rajyam Party would sail with the Congress or TDP if it did not meet required majority. However, the PRP president stayed away from media and senior leaders and said that he would address a press conference only after getting the Political Affairs Committee's feedback after exploring all political options.
