Praja Rajyam Party to Telangana issue kept on hold

Party spokesman Dr. Mitra says that it would be announced at an appropriate time

The Praja Rajyam Party made it clear that it was in no hurry to announce its stand on Telangana and the statement of party president Chiranjeevi at Tirupati public meeting on Telangana stands hold good. The Praja Rajyam would not finalize its decision on crucial issues jut because other parties were hurriedly announcing their stand. It would announce its stand on Telangana at an appropriate time.

Dr. Mitra said that the party president Chiranjeevi to make an announcement after examining all aspects. The statement comes a day ahead of the Praja Rajyam party's president second phase of Praja Ankita Yatra in Telangana districts slated to commence at Sircilla in Karimnagar district on Thursday. Dr Mithra was critical of Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy for claiming that the proposed coastal corridor was just a road and that the government would stop land acquition if the people propose it.

Responding to the queries, Dr. Mitra said that the CPI general secretary AB Bardhan's meeting with Chiranjeevi was aimed at exchanging views on the national and State political scenario and there was no discussion about alliances.
